Orchestra(VYSO,VPS,MSO)
I started playing harp in orchestras in Grade 7, performing in concerts in Beijing and Vancouver. Now, I'm a harpist in the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, further honing my skills through live performances.
Magee Avocado Club
In Grade 11, I founded the Avocado Club at Magee Secondary, leading a team to sell bubble teas during lunch breaks and donate $2500 in profits to upgrade school computers. Our efforts earned praise from the principals, who recognized our contributions and encouraged our social impact initiatives. This experience has enhanced my leadership and strengthened our school community.
Volunteer
I’ve participated in various volunteer activities, including performing for elderly residents at a retirement home, playing the harp, organizing performances and assisting with food distribution. I volunteered as a teaching assistant and Junior instructor. These experiences have taught me the importance of empathy, teamwork, and community service, leaving me with many cherished memories captured in photos and videos.
Magee Senior Girls Basketball Team
Basketball has challenged me physically and mentally, improving my fitness and strategic thinking. I've enjoyed the personal growth and camaraderie with teammates. These experiences have strengthened my discipline and determination, which I apply to other areas of my life.
